Chad Hansen Fantasy Outlook Rises With Consistent Role on Offense

There are always a few players that catch fantasy football managers by surprise and that is no different this season. Houston Texans' wide receiver Chad Hansen has shown he could turn out to be a difference-maker in some fantasy playoff matchups.

Hansen was activated from the practice squad before the Texans' Week 13 game. In the two games he's played, Hansen has racked up 157 yards on 12 receptions. He has filled in nicely given the number of injuries the Texans have suffered at the position.

More importantly, it seems like there is a connection building between Hansen and quarterback Deshaun Watson in the passing game. Hansen has seen 7 targets and played in at least 80% of the offensive snaps in each of the last two games.

Hansen's upside remains high since Will Fuller is out for the rest of the year due to a suspension and Brandin Cooks is currently questionable to play because of lingering neck and foot injuries. Rostering the No. 2 receiver in an offense that passes the ball on 55.2% of plays is never a bad idea.
