Bradley Roby has had an up-and-down NFL career thus far, but he settled into a nice role with the Houston Texans in 2019. He received a solid 66.8 grade from Pro Football Focus (PFF), holding opposing quarterbacks to a 79.9 passer rating when targeted in coverage.
But it looks as if Roby is poised to take his game to the next level, at least as far as his conditioning is concerned. Take a look at this photo posted of him from Texans training camp.
Roby looks far more built than a cornerback has any business being in that photo.
The added muscle should help him improve most in run defense, which, perhaps not-so coincidentally, was the worst aspect of his game. He received a 50.5 grade as a run defender compared to a 69.0 grade in coverage, per PFF.
This should help Roby take his game to the next level.
