Bears Remain in the Mix for Exciting Free-Agent Weapon
The Chicago Bears have made some interesting moves (to say the least) this offseason, like signing Andy Dalton to be the team's starter. However, Chicago remains active in reforming its roster, recently deciding to part ways with Akeim Hicks and release Kyle Fuller.
The Bears' cap-clearing efforts could be connected to their pursuit of one of this year's top free agents.
Kenny Golladay Bears Rumors
Free-agent wide receiver Kenny Golladay continues to be linked to the Bears this offseason. Chicago reportedly made an offer to Golladay recently, so it's clear they're in the thick of the race to sign the wideout, but the New York Giants remain a major contender for his services.
The wide receiver market isn't flush with dollars this offseason given a stacked draft class. As a result, Golladay still finds himself in search of a deal, and his reported asking price may have teams steering clear of him.
However, the four-year pro is a proven deep threat who'd immediately elevate the Bears' offense, especially with him lining up opposite of Allen Robinson. That'd give Chicago one of the best WR duos in the league, and even with Dalton under center, the Bears could hopefully improve in 2021.
