Astros Get Great News With Jose Urquidy Injury Update

As the Houston Astros gear up for another deep postseason run, the team got some great news on the injury front. Right-handed reliever Jose Urquidy is scheduled to return shortly from the injured list after a pair of rehab outings.
Urquidy has been on the injured list since late June while dealing with right shoulder discomfort. In fact, in the past 1.5 months, the 26-year-old righty has thrown just one bullpen session.
Jose Urquidy said he will start Tuesday in Sugar Land and throw five innings in a rehab start. He will then throw Sunday and could be activated.

Jose Urquidy Injury Update
The idea of a concrete timeline for Urquidy's return is a huge sigh of relief for Houston. It's been something missing from his recovery process since the beginning and they'll be happy to welcome a talented arm back to the bullpen.
On the year, Urquidy owns a 3.38 ERA and solid 0.957 WHIP across 77.1 innings pitched. In just three years of experience, the young bullpen arm owns a career-average 3.41 ERA and 1.007 WHIP while striking out 7.5 batters per nine innings.
Houston sits atop the AL West with a 73-50 overall record, the second-best mark in the American League. The Astros' pitching staff gives up just 3.92 runs per game with a combined 3.61 ERA, ranking toop five in baseball for both marks.
According to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, Houston is the second-favorite to win the World Series at +450 odds.
