3 Free Agents the Bengals Can Sign Next Offseason With Increased 2022 Salary Cap

It's never too early to start looking ahead to the 2022 NFL offseason, especially given the recent news of an increased cap number for every team. It should make free agency even more exciting and could allow a team like the Cincinnati Bengals to take advantage.
The Bengals are projected to have one of the top-eight highest amounts of cap space available following next season and will have multiple holes to address on the roster. With that being said, here are three free agents Cincinnati should sign next offseason.
Per source, the NFL and the NFLPA have agreed to a salary cap ceiling of $208.2 million for the 2022 season. If it gets there, that would be a 14 percent increase over the 2021 cap of $182.5 million. (more)

Cincinnati Bengals 2022 Free Agent Targets
1. Robert Tonyan Jr., TE
One of the Bengals top priorities should be surrounding young quarterback Joe Burrow with as many offensive weapons as they can. With tight end C.J. Uzomah set to hit free agency, Cincinnati would be smart to sign Robert Tonyan Jr. to take over the starting role. Tonyan was a bit of an unknown prior to 2020, but he burst onto the scene and ended the season with 52 receptions, 586 yards and 11 touchdowns. He is the definition of a red zone threat and can get open down the field as well. Tonyan could be the perfect security blanket for Burrow.
2. Cam Robinson, LT
It is no secret that Cincinnati struggled to keep Burrow protected in the pocket during the 2020 season. They added Riley Reiff this offseason, but should keep upgrading the offensive line next offseason as well. Cam Robinson is a great option here given he is still only 25 years old. He could be open to signing a multi-year deal to stick around with the Bengals. Robinson is currently playing on the franchise tag after being the most reliable player on the Jacksonville Jaguars line for the last few seasons. He would be a great get for the Bengals.
3. Haason Reddick, LB
The Bengals' defense currently lacks game-changing types of players and Haason Reddick proved he can be that last season. He posted a career-high 12.5 sacks while also totaling 63 tackles, 4 pass breakups and 6 forced fumbles. Reddick's efforts were a major step up from his first three NFL seasons as he seems to have finally developed into a defensive weapon. Cincinnati has the money it would take to sign a young linebacker like Reddick and they should use it while they still can. Adding him to the mix would only improve this defensive unit.
