The San Diego Padres are in the thick of a tight divisional race in the NL West with the San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers. Currently sitting in third place, just 1.5 games back of the second-place Dodgers and 4.0 games back of the first-place Giants, the Padres will be without starting pitcher Blake Snell on Tuesday.

Snell was scratched form his start due to some stomach issues.

Snell is going to undergo further testing to gauge the severity of these issues, but for now he's only scheduled to miss this one start.

Snell has struggled this season, holding a 3-3 record with a 5.29 ERA, although he does have 90 strikeouts in 66.1 innings pitched.

Still, losing the former Cy Young award winner for an extended period would be a hit to San Diego. Currently the Padres have +290 odds to win the NL West, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest MLB odds.
