3 Most Likely Marlon Mack Trade Destinations at the Deadline

Indianapolis Colts running back Marlon Mack is one of several players who could be on the move by Tuesday's NFL trade deadline. Mack is currently buried on the Colts' RB depth chart and made it clear he'd like a new opportunity elsewhere.
Here's three likely teams that could trade for Mack ahead of the deadline.
Marlon Mack Trade Rumors
3. Los Angeles Chargers
Mack would slot in perfectly as Austin Ekeler's primary backup and give LA a great insurance option should anything happen to their star RB. Ekeler's production on the ground (420 yards, 5 TDs on 84 attempts) has been vital to the Chargers' offense, and they can't afford to lose that threat in the backfield. There's no telling if Justin Jackson, Larry Rountree III or Joshua Kelley would step up to that level, but Mack's two years as the Colts' lead back make him more than capable of filling in if Ekeler sustains an injury, which has been a problem for the rusher in recent years.
2. Carolina Panthers
Mack could also back up another injury-plagued RB on the Carolina Panthers. There's little clarity on when star Christian McCaffrey will return after his recent setback, and there's potential for CMC to be bothered by his hamstring injury all year. That's bad news for a playoff-hopeful roster that would have to rely on rookie Chuba Hubbard down the stretch. Mack's veteran presence would solidify this backfield and provide a great complement to Hubbard if McCaffrey fails to stay healthy.
1. Tennessee Titans
An in-division trade might be hard to pull off, but Mack would fill a serious need for the Tennessee Titans. This team just lost Derrick Henry for 6-10 weeks, leaving Jeremy McNichols as the only RB on the active roster. Veteran Adrian Peterson has been signed to join McNichols, but there's no telling how the 36-year-old will look after sitting for half of the season. A committee approach would give Tennessee multiple options to lean on in Henry's absence, so adding a former 1,000-yard rusher in Mack to the mix makes a ton of sense.
