There has been a lot of chatter about the two quarterbacks at the top of the NFL Draft in Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa and even some about the next tier of guys like Justin Herbert, Jacob Eason and Jordon Love.

One name that isn't being talked about too much is Oklahoma quarterback Jalen Hurts. Currently, FanDuel Sportsbook has Hurts' projected draft number at 75.5, which puts him in between two ideal potential landing spots in the Indianapolis Colts (pick 75) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (pick 76).

Hurts put together a stellar season last year in Norman. He threw for 3,851 yards, 32 touchdowns and a 69.7 percent completion rate. The two men who held his position before him, Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray, both went on to win the Heisman Trophy and be selected as the the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 and 2019 NFL Drafts, respectively. While neither of those things will come to fruition for Hurts, he could still land in a great situation.

Both the Bucs and the Colts signed great, yet aging veteran quarterbacks in Tom Brady and Philip Rivers. While both of them have a firm hold on the starting job for at least this next season, Hurts could come in and learn behind either of those two great QBs.

Many view Hurts as a project in terms of translating to the NFL level, but there's no question the talent and potential is there.

For two teams that know they will be in need of a longterm starting QB sometime in the next two seasons, drafting a guy like Hurts with the allotted time to be able to teach and mold him within their own system could be an opportunity too difficult to pass up, especially if it only cots a third-round pick.
