Dallas Cowboys star DeMarcus Lawrence was a huge part of the team's upset bid against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Lawrence's forced fumble on Ronald Jones set up a touchdown early in the game, and he was active all night.
However, it appears the Cowboys could now be without the Pro Bowler in Week 2.
DeMarcus Lawrence Injury
Lawrence suffered a foot injury at practice on Wednesday, and there's "serious concern" he will be forced to miss the team's upcoming game. That could mean Dallas will take on the Los Angeles Chargers without both of their starting edge rushers, as Randy Gregory is currently in COVID protocols.
Lawrence's absence would be massive for a defense in need of playmakers. The 2017-18 Pro Bowler is coming off of 2020 campaign where he racked up 11 tackles for loss, 10 QB hits, 6.5 sacks and 4 forced fumbles.
The thought of Dallas' defense taking the field without either starting EDGE is terrifying as they ready to face Justin Herbert.
The Cowboys are currently 3-point underdogs heading into their Week 2 matchup in LA, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
