As we inch closer to Super Bowl 55 taking place on Sunday, it's time to start looking ahead to the next NFL season. The Super Bowl 56 odds are out and the Dallas Cowboys are being disrespected when it comes to their odds to take home the Lombardi trophy next year.

Cowboys Super Bowl Odds 2021

The Cowboys currently have the 16th-highest odds to win the Super Bowl next season at +3300, according to the NFL odds set at FanDuel Sportsbook. That puts them right in the middle of the pack and surrounded by teams such as the Los Angeles Chargers (+3100), Pittsburgh Steelers (+3100), New England Patriots (+3700) and Arizona Cardinals (+4100).

While Dallas finished the 2020 NFL season with a record of 6-10, it is noteworthy to point out how they struggled to win games after starting quarterback Dak Prescott was injured. However, the team still has the roster depth and offensive talent to compete with any other team in the league. They should be a borderline top 10 team heading into next season.

Despite suffering various injuries, the Cowboys' offense still found a way to average the fourth highest points per game (PPG) when playing at home last season (29.8). They also finished the season averaging 260.1 passing yards per game (No. 10 in the NFL). Plus, if make a few changes regarding their defensive issues, they could be a team to fear.

Keep in mind, a lot of their offensive success will come down to who is starting for the team at the quarterback position. Making sure Prescott sticks around could skyrocket the Cowboys' odds. He was averaging 422.5 passing yards per game before suffering an injury in Week 5.

Overall, the top teams leading the pack in the odds include the Kansas City Chiefs (+490), Buffalo Bills (+1100), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+1100) and Green Bay Packers (+1100). Just don't be surprised if the Cowboys end up being an underrated team before the 2021 NFL season kicks off.
