Ciryl Gane will take on Derrick Lewis in a daunting matchup during UFC 265's main card on Saturday, August 7. It will all go down at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

Fans will be intrigued to hear that this bout will be for the interim heavyweight title as current champion Francis Ngannou is currently unable to defend his belt.

FanDuel Sportsbook has posted opening odds for the fight.

Gane vs Lewis Odds

Ciryl Gane has opened as a heavy -275 favorite, while Derrick Lewis is a +220 underdog.

Gane enters this fight on a hot streak as he has won each of first nine MMA bouts. In fact, he is coming off back-to-back main event wins over Alexander Volkov and Jairzinho Rozenstruik. The 31-year-old's success has caused his to skyrocket up the ranks of the heavyweight division. Overall, Gane is 9-0 with 3 knockouts and 3 submissions.

On the other side, Lewis has been fighting well as of late, too. He is on a four-fight win streak and looked impressive knocking out Curtis Blaydes in February. This will be the 36-year-old's second chance at the title following his loss to Daniel Cormier back in 2018. He enters with a record of 25-7 (20 KOs, 1 submission).
