New Denver Broncos general manager George Paton recently made a trade offer for Matthew Stafford that included current QB Drew Lock. That deal didn't go through as the Detroit Lions received a stronger offer from the Los Angeles Rams, but it shows that Denver isn't married to Lock as their starter in 2021.

Denver still has Lock under an affordable rookie deal, yet it appears he could be on the outs. Here are three teams that could trade for the 24-year-old QB.

Drew Lock Trade Rumors

1. Houston Texans

The rumors are running rampant around Houston Texans star Deshaun Watson. The disgruntled quarterback apparantly wants out of Houston, and Denver would be able to offer Lock along with its current No. 9 overall pick in any package. Reports are surfacing that Watson is willing to waive his no-trade clause to land in a few destinations, including Denver, making a trade at least a possibility.

2. Carolina Panthers

Broncos president John Elway is not foolish enough to take on an average quarterback like Teddy Bridgewater with a big contract. But the Carolina Panthers are looking to trade him, knowing he's not the team's long-term solution at quarterback. Denver could inquire about draft picks in exchange for Lock since Carolina's looking for new blood at the position.

3. Indianapolis Colts

The retirement of Philip Rivers opens up an opportunity at quarterback with the Indianapolis Colts. Backup Jacoby Brisset is headed for free agency too, which means an outside option is primed to take over in Indy. The Colts need a QB, and they could be desperate enough to trade a draft pick in exchange for Lock's services.
