The deal has finally been completed. Dak Prescott seemed to get the pay bump he was asking for, signing a four-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys worth $160 million. This gives them long-term stability at the quarterback position, but does this equal long-term success?
One move does not win a Super Bowl. So, with that in mind, these are three free agents the Cowboys need to target in order for them to win a Super Bowl with Dak Prescott.
1. Tashaun Gipson, FS
The Cowboys need help at free safety, and Tashaun Gipson would be a perfect fit. Gipson would bring a veteran presence, solid safety play and a relatively cheap price tag. He was given a 72.0 grade from Pro Football Focus last season, as he totaled two interceptions and 66 tackles.
2. Xavier Rhodes, CB
Xavier Rhodes had a redemption season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2020. He allowed only a 51.3% completion rate when targeted this season, which is his best since 2016. Rhodes also totaled 10 pass breakups and 42 tackles.
3. William Jackson, CB
William Jackson is one of the more underrated cornerbacks on the market. It's tough to build up a reputation when you're playing for the Cincinnati Bengals. He allowed a 52.2% completion rate when targeted and totaled five pass breakups. Jackson has been one of the lone bright spots on the Bengals over the past several years, and he deserves a change of scenery.
