The Dallas Cowboys have the No. 1 passing offense in the NFL this season, which is a stark contrast from recent years in the Ezekiel Elliott era. Dak Prescott leads the league with 3,433 passing yards, and has been aided by one of the league's premier wide receiver trios in Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and Randall Cobb.

While Cooper is the clear alpha in the Cowboys' passing game, the debate over the second best Dallas wide receiver for fantasy purposes is becoming increasingly interesting. Gallup was the one making headlines early in the season as a second-year breakout, however, Cobb has bridged the gap recently with three straight impressive performances.

After catching four balls for 69 yards and a touchdown in Week 1, Cobb went MIA through Week 9, failing to score a touchdown or top 53 receiving yards. In the past three weeks, however, Cobb has averaged 102.3 receiving yards per game while scoring two touchdowns. He has been the Cowboys' most consistent wide receiver over that span, which has coincided with Cooper being dinged up with a knee injury.

Meanwhile, Gallup has remained productive, averaging 8.7 targets in four games since Dallas' Week 8 bye. In the those four games, Gallup has averaged 4.7 catches and 78 yards per game, while also scoring two touchdowns.

The Cowboys draw a tough matchup on Thanksgiving Day, going against a Buffalo Bills defense that allows the fourth fewest fantasy points to wide receivers. While Cooper should see shadow coverage from top corner Tre'Davious White, both Gallup and Cobb should draw beatable matchups against Kevin Johnson and Taron Johnson, respectively.

For Thanksgiving and rest of season, Michael Gallup is still the preferred fantasy play over the recently-hot Cobb. While Cobb would appear like the safer play, Gallup's floor is higher than many give him credit for, thanks to the healthy amount of targets he receives on a weekly basis.

Coupled with Gallup's upside/big play ability, he is a locked-and-loaded WR2 for fantasy's stretch run. Cobb, meanwhile, makes for a solid WR3/flex play.
