The Dallas Cowboys prepare for their first divisional matchup on Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, there's concern surrounding wide receiver Amari Cooper's availability for this contest.
Cooper bruised his ribs near the end of Dallas' Week 2 win. He did participate in Thursday's practice, but was held to limited status. Thursday marked the Cowboys first full day of practice this week after a walkthrough on Wednesday.
Amari Cooper Injury Update
A limited status could be seen from both sides. Seeing Cooper dressed and practicing is obviously positive update in his injury recovery. But, he's still limited and that leaves a big question mark for his full availability entering Monday. Adding in Jerry Jones' comments from Tuesday, and this injury situation remains very cloudy.
Dallas' offense has been firing on all cylinders to kick off the year, especially with quarterback Dak Prescott back under center. The Cowboys rank sixth in passing yards per contest (306.0) per year so far, and Cooper has very much been at the center of it.
The duo of CeeDee Lamb and Cooper leads the Cowboys with a combined 46 targets and 31 receptions. Cooper has 2 touchdowns and 163 receiving yards to his name and continues to shine as a favorite target of Prescott.
With or without Cooper, the Cowboys are expected to beat the Eagles on Monday. Dallas is currently the 3.5-point favorite at home, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
