The increase in warm weather can only mean one thing: summer is around the corner and that's a sign that the new college football season will soon begin. Several huge matchups have been announced to kick off the new season, including a collision between the Oklahoma Sooners and Tulane Green Wave.

The Oklahoma-Tulane matchup will take place on Saturday, September 4 at 12 p.m. EST from Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. The game will also be nationally broadcasted on ABC.

Oklahoma-Tulane Game Info

Oklahoma had a tremendous showing in the 2020 college football season. They finished the campaign with a 6-2 record that was capped off by defeating the Florida Gators, 55-20, to win the Cotton Bowl. Considering how Pro Football Focus has ranked the Sooners as being a top-five team in college football, they'll have a lot of expectations put on them in 2021. Meanwhile, the Green Wave finished their last season with a 3-5 record — their third time doing so in four seasons.

Any success that Oklahoma has this season begins with quarterback Spencer Rattler. He's currently the favorite to win the 2021 Heisman Trophy after throwing for 3,031 yards and 28 touchdowns to 7 interceptions last season. Expect Rattler to try and get his school a huge win to kickstart the new campaign.

The Sooners currently have +800 odds to win the next college football national championship, which ranks fifth on FanDuel Sportsbook's odds list. The Green Wave are not as fortunate, as their odds of winning rank near the bottom of the list at +200000.
