Ja'Marr Chase was a trendy name for all the wrong reasons entering Week 1 after opening up about his preseason struggles. However, Chase has flipped the script after lighting up the Minnesota Vikings in an impressive debut for the rookie.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had a message for all of the haters after the game.

Burrow immediately followed Chase in postgame availability after the Bengals' OT win, and he had a simple question as soon as he sat down: "I thought he was dropping everything?" It was an epic roast of anyone who doubted the No. 6 pick after a few preseason games.

Chase's early struggles are now a thing of the past following his Week 1 performance. He racked up five catches on seven targets for 101 yards and a touchdown. His TD score was a 50-yard hookup with Burrow that hopefully foreshadowed an elite connection for years to come in Cincinnati.

The Bengals now head into a Week 2 matchup on the road against the Chicago Bears. Cincinnati is a 3.5-point underdog ahead of that contest, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
