The Masters has finally arrived, with the 2022 tournament set to tee off on Thursday, April 7. The golf world will have its eyes on Augusta National as the best players in the world compete for a green jacket.

Sorting out a fantasy team for an event with the most elite field can be tricky. Let's take a look at some golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.

The Masters 2022 Fantasy Picks

Justin Thomas Fantasy

Justin Thomas will be participating in his sixth Masters this year. In his first Masters appearance, he finished No. 39. In the four subsequent years, he improved his finishing position every year until 2020, he finished No. 4. Thomas also comes in to the tournament in the midst of a great season. He already has six top-10 finishes in the 10 events he's played this season. If his own career trend continues, not only will be see a top-5 finish, we could see him putting on the green jacket come Sunday evening.

Rory McIlroy Fantasy

The Masters remains the one elusive major Rory McIlroy has yet to capture in order to complete the career grand slam. After famously floundering a big Day 4 lead in 2011, McIlroy has rebounded at Augusta, but never enough to grab the win. He has rough finishes of 40th and 25th in the two years immediately following 2011, but in the eight iterations he's played in since, he's only finished outside the top-10 twice. In fact, he's got three top-5 finishes in those six starts. Rory has been trying to shed the stink of the 2011 Masters ever since, and this season might be the year he does it.

Patrick Cantlay Fantasy

Patrick Cantlay is also no stranger to competing at the Masters. In fact, in 2019, he briefly held the lead late in the final round before Tiger Woods pulled away for the win down the stretch. Of course, one can't be blamed for getting beat out by Tiger late on a Sunday afternoon, that's practically the biggest club on tour. Cantlay began his season on a tear, grabbing four top-10 finishes and three top-5 finishes in his first four starts. He has cooled off a bit in his three starts since, but coming back to Augusta after a week of rest, a place he's proven he can compete, should give him a great chance to shine again.
