49ers Refused to Trade Nick Mullens Despite Multiple Offers

We are more than a year removed from watching Nick Mullens as the starting quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers. He filled in and started eight games in 2018 while Jimmy Garoppolo was recovering from a torn ACL.
Garoppolo returned and lead the Niners to a Super Bowl appearance, so Mullen resumed his full-time backup duties in 2019. While backup QBs are usually an afterthought, the 49ers apparently really value theirs.
San Francisco reportedly heard from a few teams that were interested in acquiring Mullens via trade, but the organization had no interest in dealing him.

While we don't know specifics about the offers they received, they must not have been very good. San Fran is a team clearly looking for draft assets. They traded a star defensive tackle in DeForest Buckner to the Indianapolis Colts in exchange for the No. 13 overall pick. This now gives them two first-round picks, but zero picks in Rounds 2-4. Their next pick is No. 156 in Round 5.
You have to imagine the 49ers would love to get a mid-round pick or two. There's no telling if Mullens was worth that to other teams, but if they were getting offers in that range, that shows just how highly San Francisco thinks of its backup QB.
