The first round of the 2022 Masters Tournament is in the books as the top golfers prepare for Day 2 on Friday. Some of the world's best excelled in Round 1, including a 5-under-par 67 from Day 1 leader Sungjae Im.

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Louis Oosthuizen.

Oosthuizen announced his official withdrawal from The Masters prior to the start of his second round due to injury.

It was quite clear the world's No. 14 golfer wasn't himself on Thursday. Oosthuizen shot a 4-over-par 76, including two double bogeys, three bogeys, and three birdies.

The South African product had entered the tournament with solid expectations after making the cut in each of his previous 13 appearances. Although he's never won a green jacket, Oosthuizen entered with +5500 odds to win The Masters in 2022. That has him tied for 23rd in the entire field.
