Week 16 Fantasy Picks: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em for Browns vs Jets

The Cleveland Browns take on the New York Jets in a matchup of two teams heading in vastly different directions. As a result, FanDuel Sportsbook lists Cleveland as hefty 9.5-point favorites ahead of Sunday's game.

If you need some help with your Week 16 lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 16 showdown.

Baker Mayfield Fantasy

Start Baker Mayfield, QB, Cleveland Browns: Baker Mayfield might be the hottest quarterback in football right now. Now that he's gotten a good grasp on head coach Kevin Stefanski's system, and Cleveland has stopped playing in absurdly poor weather, Mayfield is absolutely lighting it up. Over his last four, the Browns' franchise QB is averaging 308.0 passing yards per contest with 10 TDs and 1 INT. He should have no trouble maintaining that pace against a Jets' defense that is unquestionably one of the worst in the league.

Jamison Crowder Fantasy

Start Jamison Crowder, WR, New York Jets: Jaimson Crowder is pretty much the only member of the New York Jets you can confidently start on a weekly basis. He's gone over double-digit PPR points in two of his last three starts, and he shouldn't have much trouble tearing up a Browns' defense that ranks No. 25 by pass defense DVOA.

Kareem Hunt Fantasy

Sit Kareem Hunt, RB, Cleveland Browns: This is likely to be a Nick Chubb game, not a Kareem Hunt game. Hunt is at his best when Cleveland is trailing or playing in a close contest, as Chubb is the one who usually gets the call when the Browns are playing with a lead. Since Cleveland is a 9.5-point favorite, expect a heavy dose of Chubb on Sunday.

New York Jets Fantasy

Sit Any Other New York Jet: This is the fantasy championships, so it's not the time to get cute. While players like Denzel Mims and Breshad Perriman may offer some interesting upside, the Jets' offense is just not good enough to be worth a look in fantasy. Crowder is the only Jet you want to play in Week 16.
