Cam Newton is one of the most unique players in football. It's not everyday you get to see a 6-foot-6 quarterback lower his shoulder and truck NFL linebackers. His distinctive style allows offensive coordinators to dial up a lot of plays that they wouldn't even consider with other players, and it'll be a lot of fun to see what he does with Josh McDaniels and the New England Patriots.

Take this perfectly executed fake screen, for example.

The threat of Newton and Christian McCaffrey out of the backfield paralyzed the New Orleans Saints' defense, which is certainly understandable.

It allowed the reverse hand off to work to perfection, thanks in large part to Newton's Oscar-worthy performance in selling the play. If Newton is back to full health with the Patriots, he already looks like a dark-horse MVP candidate, and he could make the team legitimate Super Bowl contenders.
