The Washington Football Team surprised a lot of people last year by coming away with the NFC East crown, albeit with a 7-9 record. However, they pulled it off using a slew of different quarterbacks. Dwayne Haskins and Alex Smith handled the majority of the time, but Kyle Allen and Taylor Heinicke also saw action. The former two are no longer with the team. The latter two are, but no one saw them as long-term answers.

Enter veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick. Washington brought in the 38-year-old signal-caller in an effort to stabilize the offense on a team that was mostly carried by a dominant defense last season.

However, that doesn't mean Washington has no offensive weapons. In fact, they have one of the league's best young receivers in Terry McLaurin and even signed free agent Curtis Samuel this past offseason, creating a very solid receiving duo.

With OTAs starting this week, we got our first live look at Fitzpatrick throwing to McLaurin, and the early returns look great.

There has been a lot of talk about McLaurin being primed for a great season considering how well Fitzpatrick has connected with his top receivers in the past.

This will surely be a connection that garners a lot of attention throughout the offseason and into training camp and WFT fans should be excited about that.
