VIDEO: Baker Mayfield High School Football Highlights From 2012 Are a Huge Throwback
By Max Staley

Coming off a down season, NFL fans and analysts are nowhere near as high on Baker Mayfield as they once were. But it's easy to forget just how good the Cleveland Browns' signal-caller is.
Despite starting just 13 games, Mayfield broke the rookie passing touchdown record (set by Peyton Manning), throwing a whopping 27 TDs. He also led the team to a 6-7 finish. While many were surprised Mayfield got off to such a quick start, he's always had big-time talent, and his high school highlight tape proves just that.
If the Browns want to see Mayfield look like this again, they'll have to make some improvements. Thankfully, their offseason has certainly been a step in the right direction.
Adding an elite right tackle in Jack Conklin, and one of the league's best pass-catching tight ends in Austin Hooper, Cleveland's offense could be a force to be reckoned with next season. With those weapons, the Browns could be Super Bowl contenders if Mayfield looks anything like he did in those highlights.
