The Green Bay Packers' failed Hail Mary pass at the end of Week 5's loss to the New York Giants had more of an impact than originally thought. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers injured his right hand after taking a hit at the end of that play and was seen throwing with his thumb taped at Thursday's practice.
Aaron Rodgers Injury News
Rodgers could be seen flexing his hand as he walked off the field in London on Sunday, but he has been adamant that it is not an issue worth worrying about. The four-time MVP sat out Wednesday's practice to do individual rehab work and told reporters that the injury has "gotten better every day."
A video tweeted out by ESPN's Rob Demovsky shows Rodgers as a full participant in Thursday's practice. This development lines up with what Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur said on Wednesday, which is that the coaching staff isn't concerned about Rodgers' status.
While the Packers own a 3-2 record on the season, they have yet to kick things into high gear. They'll have an opportunity to do just that against the New York Jets on Sunday. Rodgers is 3-0 all-time against the Jets and has thrown for 958 yards, 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions in those contests.
With Rodgers seemingly good to go, the Packers are currently listed as 7-point home favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
