The New England Patriots are 3-0, atop the AFC East, and still the betting favorite to win Super Bowl LIV, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. After opening with +800 before the season, the Pats have seen their odds improve to +360 to win their second consecutive Vince Lombardi trophy and fourth in six years.
The Patriots have outscored their opponents 106-17 through three weeks, and while that has been aided by matchups against the Miami Dolphins and New York Jets, it is clear New England has elite defense. The Pats should pad their record with upcoming matchups against the Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins, New York Giants and Jets.
The Kansas City Chiefs have the next best odds at +550, and they are also 3-0 on the strength of Patrick Mahomes' remarkable start to the season. The third-year phenom leads the league with 1,195 passing yards and 10 TDs, and has done just enough to make up for the Chiefs' generous defense, which has given up 64 points through three weeks.
The Los Angeles Rams have the best odds to emerge from the NFC and take Super Bowl LIV, with +850 odds to win in tall. The Rams are also 3-0, following last season's upsetting, 13-3 loss in Super Bowl LII. Also 3-0, and with +1300 odds to win the championship are the Dallas Cowboys, who have to love what they've seen so far from Dak Prescott (920 passing yards, nine touchdowns to two interceptions).
Meanwhile, the Green Bay Packers have seen their odds slightly improve, from opening at +1800 to +1400 currently. The Packers are 3-0 to start the season, on the strength of a much-improved defense, and Green Bay was as low as +2200 to win the Super Bowl on Sept. 4. On the other hand, the New Orleans Saints have seen their odds get worse, following the thumb injury suffered by Drew Brees.
