The Tennessee Titans meteoric run to the AFC Championship Game last season caught everyone by surprise, being that all it seemed to take was a Marcus Mariota benching in favor of veteran Ryan Tannehill at quarterback. Tannehill was not the face of the rise to power, however, running back Derrick Henry was.

Titans Win Total

Despite Henry (one-year franchise tag) and Tannehill both re-signing, the Titans Super Bowl odds are very unenthusiastic, and even their 2020 regular season over/under win total is only set at 8.5 on FanDuel Sportsbook. With the odds of hitting the over at +100, and the under at -120, the odds also favor an 8-win season over a 9-win campaign, which would actually be one fewer win than the Titans finished with in 2019, before the playoff upsets.

Even so, head coach Mike Vrabel seems to just be getting his feet wet in Tennessee. The former Bill Belichick staff member has bested some of the top coaches in the NFL already, using more trickery and risk to win games than their run-first offense might suggest.

The Titans did lose right tackle Jack Conklin in free agency this offseason, who had the league's eighth-best pass block win rate in 2019. They also cut and traded veterans like Delanie Walker, Cameron Wake and Jurrell Casey to help relieve cap space. But Logan Ryan is the more crucial component, the starting cornerback remains unsigned as we speak.

If Tennessee can get Ryan to return, or bring in one more big name like Jadeveon Clowney, who they have been in conversations with recently, this win total is not only attainable, it could be expected.
