After getting scratched late from the Detroit Tigers' lineup on Monday, fans were curious what was going on with Jake Rogers. It turns out to be some bad news for Tigers fans as their 26-year-old catcher is headed to the 10-day injured list with a pronator strain.

Jake Rogers Injury

Rogers, a former third-round draft pick back in 2016, has been a serviceable option behind the plate in Detroit this season. The young backstop is slashing .239/.306/.496 with 17 RBIs and 11 walks across 38 games.

He's a great option defensively, having allowed only 3 passed balls in 310.2 innings while throwing out 57 percent of base stealers.

Detroit remains on the outside of the MLB playoff picture looking in with a 44-51 overall record, trailing the first-place Chicago White Sox by 13.5 games. Right now, the Tigers have just +20000 odds to win the AL Central division on FanDuel Sportsbook.
