The Washington Football Team looks like a rising contender in the NFC. They earned an NFC East title win in 2020 thanks to a top-ranked defense that made up for deficiencies at quarterback.

WFT addressed that key position by signing veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick this offseason to be their new starter. And Fitzmagic is already impressing at the team's OTAs.

It should be no surprise that the 16-year veteran has settled in quickly with his new team. However, head coach Ron Rivera also noted that Fitzpatrick is already earning trust and building a rapport with his teammates.

"I think the guys have already started to draw towards him in terms of being comfortable and understanding how he does things and how it fits our structure. That is one of the really cool things is that he can come in and assimilate very quickly"

WFT fans should be excited that Fitz is fitting in so easily and already being the veteran leader this offense needs. His mentoring of Miami Dolphins rookie Tua Tagovailoa last season is just one recent example that shows why Fitzpatrick is considered one of the best teammates in the league.

With the veteran gunslinger under center and surrounded by a myriad of weapons, Washington is poised to make a playoff run once again in 2021.
