Los Angeles advanced to the NFC Championship after an exciting 30-27 victory over the No. 2 Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Divisional Round.

There's only two teams remaining in the NFC, and the Rams will take on the No. 6 seed San Francisco 49ers in the Championship Round. If Los Angeles is able to take care of business, they will play the winner of the Cincinnati Bengals vs Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 56.

If the Rams are able to defeat the 49ers in the Conference Championship, this sets up a Super Bowl LVI clash between them and the winner of the Bengals-Chiefs matchup. The Super Bowl will be held on Sunday, Feb. 13.

The Rams have played in four previous Super Bowls and posted a 1-3 overall record in those contests. Los Angeles first appeared in the Super Bowl in 1980 (for the 1979 NFL Season) and lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 19-31. The Rams next appeared in the Super Bowl in 2000 (for the 1999 NFL season) and defeated the Tennessee Titans, 23-16.

Los Angeles' next appearance in the Super Bowl was in 2002 (for the 2001 NFL season), where they lost to the New England Patriots, 17-20. The Rams last appearance in the Super Bowl was in 2019 (for the 2018 NFL season), where they lost to the Patriots again, 3-13.
