The New England Patriots entered the season as the Super Bowl favorites. Now through six weeks of the 2019 NFL season, their odds have continued to improve, thanks in part to a defense off to a historic start.

The Patriots were listed at +300 entering Week 6, and after a 35-14 thumping of the New York Giants on "Thursday Night Football," New England is now available at +240, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

While the win certainly helped the Patriots' odds, the Kansas City Chiefs' second straight loss might've been even more impactful. At 6-0, the Patriots are now in the driver's seat to earn the No. 1 seed in the AFC. They've been the AFC's No. 1 seed in three of the last five seasons and have made it to the Super Bowl on all three occasions, winning the Lombardi Trophy two times.

49ers Odds to Win Super Bowl

However, the Patriots aren't the NFL's only remaining undefeated team. Tom Brady's former backup, Jimmy Garoppolo, has led the San Francisco 49ers to a 5-0 start. Despite entering the season with +3600 odds, the 49ers' odds to win the Super Bowl have jumped all the up to +1100, giving them the fourth-best odds as of Oct. 15.

It hasn't been all Jimmy G though. Like New England, San Francisco also has one of the best defenses in the NFL. The 49ers are holding opponents to 12.8 points per game (PPG), which is the second-best mark in the NFL, and San Francisco has the No. 1 ranked pass defense, according to Football Outsiders' DVOA rankings.

Rounding out the rest of the top five in odds to win Super Bowl LIV, the New Orleans Saints (+700) are rolling after three straight wins while the Chiefs (+700) and Green Bay Packers (+1200) look like they'll be in contention for the remainder of the season.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, there are also odds available on FanDuel Sportsbook for if an NFL team will go 0-16. The Miami Dolphins are available at +290 to go winless this season, while the Cincinnati Bengals are listed at +1500.

Whether you want to bet on who will eventually win the Super Bowl or if a team will end up with zero wins, there are lots of ways to go about this as we come up on the midway point of the 2019 NFL season.
