Only two of the four preseason NL MVP favorites are holding up in the National League MVP race as the MLB season approaches summer baseball into mid-June.

According to the latest NL MVP odds on FanDuel Sportsbook, San Diego Padres shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. (+300) has taken a slight lead over Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. (+370), who was the favorite in late April and throughout May.

New York Mets ace pitcher Jacob deGrom (+650) is turning in an amazing season so far on the mound as the NL Cy Young favorite, and he's a real threat for MVP hardware as well.

In 44 games, Tatis is hitting .283 with a .660 slugging percentage. He's clubbed 17 home runs and stolen 13 bases, despite spending a limited amount of time on the injured list. Tatis Jr. is tied with Acuna Jr. and Jesse Winker of the Cincinnati Reds for the NL lead in home runs.

Acuna is batting .278 this season and leads the NL with 46 runs scored. He's also smacked 9 doubles, 1 triple and 35 RBIs in 53 games.
