NBA DFS 2/16/2022
Without further ado, here are three players to target and two to avoid in Wednesday, 2/16, NBA DFS action.
FanDuel Picks Tonight NBA - 2/16
Dejounte Murray Fantasy
Target Dejounte Murray, PG/SG, San Antonio Spurs ($10,800): Dejounte Murray continues to fill up the stat sheet. He's averaging 27.3 points, 12.7 assists, 7.7 rebounds and a whopping 62.2 FanDuel fantasy points over his last three games. Now he'll draw the Oklahoma City Thunder, who are allowing the most RPG and 10th-most APG to opponents this season. This is the perfect opportunity for Murray to record his second triple-double in four outings.
Josh Giddey Fantasy
Target Josh Giddey, SG/PG, Oklahoma City Thunder ($7,200): Speaking of triple-doubles, Josh Giddey comes into this contest with two straight under his belt. He's put up a combined 39 points, 23 rebounds, 22 assists and 92.6 fantasy points in his last two games for a short-handed Thunder team that is relying on him to create offense. Giddey could have another big night in the box score against the San Antonio Spurs, who give up the seventh-most RPG and ninth-most PPG. Targeting both primary playmakers in a matchup of two bad teams could pay off in a huge way.
Seth Curry Fantasy
Target Seth Curry, PG/SG, Brooklyn Nets ($5,700): Seth Curry is a solid value at his current price. He put in an all-around performance during his Brooklyn Nets debut, leading the team with 23 points while adding 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Curry operated as the No. 1 option for Brooklyn last time out with a team-high 18 shot attempts, and he should see similar volume on Wednesday with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Ben Simmons all out.
Domantas Sabonis Fantasy
Avoid Domantas Sabonis, PF/C, Sacramento Kings ($9,200): Domantas Sabonis has seen a drop-off in numbers since being traded to the Sacramento Kings. His averages of 15.7 PPG, 11.3 RPG and 4.7 APG since arriving in Sacramento all trail what he put up with Indiana (18.9 PPG/12.1 RPG/5.0 APG) this season. The adjustment won't get any easier for the big man tonight when he faces the Chicago Bulls. Chicago holds opponents to the ninth-fewest RPG thanks Nikola Vucevic's strong presence (11.7 RPG) on the glass. Let Sabonis truly settle in before relying on him to overperform.
Christian Wood Fantasy
Avoid Christian Wood, PF/C, Houston Rockets ($8,200): Any night Christian Wood's rebounding totals could be threatened is an occasion to avoid him. With a lack of playmaking (2.2 APG) and only decent scoring (17.6 PPG) average, Wood needs a good night on the boards (10.2 RPG) to be a solid return on investment. Success on the glass is far from a sure thing on Wednesday against the Phoenix Suns, who boast a deep center rotation in Deandre Ayton, Bismack Biyombo and JaVale McGee. Phoenix also owns the league's sixth-best scoring defense, which makes Wood a risky play.
