The Seattle Mariners are hoping to build off of their 2022 season which saw them make the playoffs for the first time in over 20 years. Infielder Dylan Moore was a key part of that. Moore had offseason core-muscle surgery and is slowly working his way back.

Dylan Moore Injury Update

Luckily for the Mariners, Moore is expected to be ready for Opening Day, despite taking things slow during Spring Training.

Moore will have a more limited role this season, sexpected to stay in the infield and primarly play shortstop and second base. Moore played pretty much every position on the diamond last season, but it sounds like the outfield won't be part of his defensve repitiore in 2023.

The Mariners had a solid offseason and should have a chance to compete for the AL West title if some of their young guys take the next step and their rotation stays healthy.

Julio Rodriguez looks like a superstar in the making. If he turns into that in year two, the Mariners will be a team to watch out for.
