The Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson have yet to come to an agreement on a contract extension for the MVP quarterback. This resulted in Jackson skipping out on OTAs with the team earlier this offseason.

Lamar Jackson Attends Minicamp

However, despite a contract still not being signed, Jackson is in the building for Baltimore's minicamp. Cornerback Marlon Humphrey posted a video online with Jackson at the team's facilities.

While OTAs are optional and carry no penalty for missing them, they do come along with incentives for attending. Minicamp is mandatory, though. Jackson would have accrued fines and penalties for missing it. That's not to say plenty of players every year don't do it. It's the first step in a contract holdout for anyone seeking a new deal or extension.

Throughout the process neither Jackson nor the Ravens have seem too worried about the potential of getting a deal done. Jackson has even at times taken the stance of he still has to earn his contract in ways, mainly winning a Super Bowl. That's not to say he doesn't think he deserves it, but it's certainly a different mindset than most in his position have had.

It shows how much of a team guy and leader Jackson really is, but at some point the business side of things has to come into play. Both sides want a deal to get done, and it seems that will happen, though for now the important thing is Jackson is in the building when he needs to be.
