Joey Votto Tweets Hilarious Congrats to Dusty Baker on 2,000 Wins

Last night was a special moment for Houston Astros manager Dusty Baker. Baker became the 12th manager in MLB history to notch 2,000 career wins, a feat held only for baseball legends.
Shortly following the final out in Houston's 4-0 win over the Seattle Mariners, Cincinnati Reds star Joey Votto took to Twitter to congratulate his former manager. In classic Votto fashion, reading the tweet will have you laughing out loud.

Dusty, big congrats on 2000 @mlb wins! That’s like 25,000 cellphones, music speakers, and tv’s you had players turn off 30 minutes before the game to get locked in for competition. Much love, my friend.

Baker and Votto have history considering the former managed Cincinnati from 2008-2013. The pair enjoyed a successful run together, including three playoff appearances, three 90+ win seasons, and an overall 509-463 record.

Votto's tweet clearly comes from personal knowledge working with Baker, poking fun at a presumed pregame routine in the clubhouse. About 30 minutes before the game, Baker was walking around turning off cellphones, music speakers and TVs to help get his team locked in.
It's a special moment for Baker and the Astros, but Reds nation can cheer along with a smile on their face knowing the legendary manager won a fourth of his games in Cincinnati.
