The New York Jets made it their offseason mission to improve their offensive line. It started with spending a lot of money in free agency, then they drafted one of the top offensive tackles in the entire 2020 NFL Draft in Mekhi Becton.

The Jets drafted Becton out of Louisville, where he dominated ACC defenders. The former Cardinal also made a lot of noise ahead of the draft, putting on a spectacular performance at the NFL Combine.
Many think of linemen as big, heavy guys that hit each other. Becton puts this opinion to rest, as he showed he was one of the top overall athletes in this rookie class.

At 6-foot-7, 364 pounds, Becton is already one intimidating human. Following the Combine, we can add the fact that he can run a 5.11 40-yard-dash time. His official time was slightly faster, at 5.10. He is the heaviest player to run a sub-5.2 since 2006, per ESPN.
Jets fans should love seeing Becton in his new uniform, and they should pray that the franchise is able to keep him around for a long time.
