Jaguars Get Bad News on Gardner Minshew Injury Update
By Max Staley

It's official, Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew is dealing with fractures and sprained ligaments in his thumb and will miss the team's Week 9 game.
With Minshew on the shelf, rookie Jake Luton will draw his first career start against the Houston Texans.

To make matters worse, there's no concrete update on when Minshew will get back to full strength. He's also not a surefire bet to win the job back when and if he can get back on the field.
Unfortunately, it appears Minshew Mania is nearing its end. Jacksonville will likely want to see what it has in Luton down the stretch, and the Jaguars have long been rumored to be interested in selecting a new signal-caller in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Hopefully Minshew can get back on the field soon, but it sure was fun while it lasted.
