Every team in the NFL already knows which teams they will be facing during the 2022 season, just not the specific dates and start times. That will be revealed at 8 p.m. ET on NFL Network on May 12. The Kansas City Chiefs also know that their schedule is set to be the toughest one in the entire league.

Both Mike Clay of ESPN and Zach Koons of Sports Illustrated highlighted just how difficult Kansas City's road to a high playoff seed is going to be. Head coach Andy Reid is going to have his work cut out for him, so let's take a look at the three hardest matchups the chiefs will have in 2022.

Kansas City Chiefs 2022 Schedule

1. Los Angeles Rams

One game NFL fans across the country will be sure to circle on their calendars will be between the Chiefs and the Rams. LA kept improving throughout the 2021 season and rode momentum all the way to a Super Bowl title. These are two high-flying offenses that both ranked among the top 10 NFL teams in categories such as points and total yards per game in 2021. Keep in mind a whopping total of 105 points were scored the last time these teams met in 2018. All eyes will be focused on the offenses, but Aaron Donald's presence along the defensive line cannot be overlooked. The balance the Rams have on both sides of the ball makes them a nightmare to face.

2. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills almost certainly have revenge on their mind as they have been eliminated from the playoffs by the Chiefs in each of the last two postseasons. An overtime thriller that came down to the flip of a coin back in January even caused Josh Allen to speak up about the rules in the offseason. The Chiefs are fortunate to host this game or else they'd be traveling to play in front of a rowdy Bills Mafia crowd. Of course, Arrowhead Stadium will be buzzing as well as Kansas City looks to beat a Bills team that is currently the favorite to hoist the Lombardi Trophy (+650), according to FanDuel Sportsbook. This has a primetime slot written all over it.

3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Kansas City was denied its second straight Super Bowl title at the hands of quarterback Tom Brady during the 2020-21 playoffs. The two teams are finally set to go up against one another for the first time since that 31-9 beatdown. Tampa Bay once again draws home field advantage, which forces the Chiefs to travel across the country and into a different time zone. Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is already building a case to be a Hall-of-Famer, but owns a 2-3 head-to-head record against Brady. This could be his last shot to tie up the series considering Brady already hinted at the idea of retirement this offseason. This game has all the makings of a all-time classic.
