Giants Get Good News With Brandon Belt Injury Update

The San Francisco Giants are gearing up for their NLDS matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but they'll be without a key player in Brandon Belt. The former All-Star has been sidelined since Sept. 26 after suffering a fractured thumb on a hit by pitch.
However, a return for Belt during the MLB Postseason is a real possibility.

Brandon Belt Injury Update
Belt said Wednesday that he's hoping to return for the NLCS, if his team advances. The injury being in an awkward spot of his hand has made swinging a bat difficult, but he's determined to give it a go if he can be cleared.
Getting Belt back just before a potential World Series appearance would be a major boost for San Francisco. The first baseman turned in a standout 2021 campaign, racking up 29 home runs and 59 RBI while slashing .274/.378/.597 across 97 games.
The Giants currently own the fourth-best odds (+700) to win the World Series, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
