Giants Get Bad News on Sterling Shepard Status for Week 6

The New York Giants haven't had much go right in 2020, starting the season 0-5, and that downward spiral continues after some recent news about wide receiver Sterling Shepard.
The oft-injured Shepard appeared in Week 1 and 2, but has not been seen since because of a toe injury. Unfortunately for the promising young talent, this has been the story of his career, with concussions and ailments generally causing him to miss a large chunk of games each season.

The Giants are actually favorites for the first time all year at 3-point favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook, as they host the equally struggling Washington Football Team. Being that this is one of their best chances to get head coach Joe Judge's first victory, Shepard's possible absence is even more vital.
If Shepard misses the game on Sunday, expect Darius Slayton (also questionable), Golden Tate and Evan Engram to receive most of Daniel Jones' attention. There should also be a heavy focus on Devonta Freeman and the run game, which was a bright spot last week against the Dallas Cowboys.
Shepard (the New York number one wide-out to start the season) has just eight catches for 76 yards in 2020, with zero touchdowns and four first down grabs.
