Garner Minshew and "Minshew Mania" have taken the NFL by storm since the rookie quarterback replaced Nick Foles as the Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback in the middle of the team's Week 1 contest. Minshew has led the Jags to a 2-3 record while racking up 1,279 passing yards, nine touchdowns and just one interception.

That's a quality start to an NFL career, but apparently real football isn't the only thing Minshew has been dominating this season – he's had a successful start when it comes to playing fantasy football, in a league with friends from his high school in Brandon, Miss.

Minshew is tied for first place in that league, and reportedly used his knowledge of other players in the NFL to draft exceptionally well, taking the likes of Josh Jacobs and Austin Ekeler. But one player that neither he nor anyone else in the league has put on their roster is the rookie QB out of Washington State.

That's right, Minshew is a free agent in his own fantasy football league. And his starting quarterback in none other than fellow rookie, Kyler Murray.

You don't often hear of star NFL players being too invested in fantasy football. In fact, it seems to be quite the opposite.

We learn something new about Minshew the longer he remains a starting QB in the NFL. This week, he's a fantasy football savant; next week, like Uncle Rico said, he could "throw a football over them mountains."
