Both Sammy Watkins and Mike Williams have been generating plenty of buzz this offseason and have widely been regarded as potential boom picks for the 2019 fantasy season. However, which receiver would be the best one to pick when you're on the clock?

So far, Williams (WR24) owns a pretty distinct ADP advantage over Watkins (WR29), but the latter that could have a better season than the former based on the situation he's in.

The Kansas City Chiefs could be without Tyreek Hill for an extended amount of time if the NFL does, indeed, want to give the embattled receiver a suspension over the child abuse allegations against him. If Hill actually ends up missing time, it'll be on Watkins to step up and, judging by his limited body of work with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, he's more than capable of doing so.

While Watkins' 2019 statistics don't jump off the page, the fifth-year wideout was incredibly efficient when working with Mahomes, generating a 124.6 passer rating when targeted (10th in NFL) while catching 75.5 percent of the passes thrown his way (11th in NFL).

All of this could add up to a huge career-year for Watkins, but the huge caveat here is that he'll need to stay healthy. Only once in Watkins' five-year career has he played a full 16 game slate, and that was in his rookie year.

Williams is talented in is own right and has plenty of potential too, but he has to contend with Keenan Allen for targets. Additionally, all of the uncertainty surrounding Melvin Gordon's future with the Chargers could be cause for concern. Yet, having Philip Rivers as his quarterback should give him weekly value regardless of matchup.

Williams and Watkins won't enter the 2019 fantasy football season on the WR1 radar, but both should easily finish as a top-tier WR3. Possibly a low-end WR2 for Watkins, however, if everything pans out the right way.
