Falcons Have Already Decided on Matt Ryan's Future in Atlanta

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan showed he has plenty left in the tank after keeping the team in playoff contention despite a lack of true offensive talent around him. Ryan's future in Atlanta has been a murky subject, though, given the team's rebuilding state and possible trade interest from contenders.
It sounds like Falcons brass already has made a decision on Ryan for the 2022 season.
Chris Mortensen @mortreport said on NFL Countdown that the Falcons don’t plan to move on from Matt Ryan. Ryan apparently impressed Arthur Smith and Terry Fontenot this season, especially in light of having no wide receivers.

Matt Ryan Trade Rumors
The veteran signal-caller has earned the support of both head coach Arthur Smith and GM Terry Fontenot, solidifying his staus as the Falcons' starting QB once again next season.
This doesn't come as much of a surprise. Ryan has been solid under center for Atlanta, throwing for 3,752 yards, 19 TDs and 11 INTs this season. He's managed to stay productive even with star wideout Calvin Ridley stepping away from the team in Week 7 and made do with a less-than-stellar supporting cast in the meantime.
Ryan's clear connection with rookie Kyle Pitts is one huge reason for optimism heading into next season. As long as the Falcons can add some talent on the outside to go along with Pitts, this offense could bounce back in a big way in 2022.
