Injuries have plagued the Philadelphia Eagles this season, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Nearly all of Carons Wentz's pass-catchers have sustained some type of injury. However, Eagles fans have been given some great news heading into an important Week 8 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, as tight end Dallas Goedert gave us an optimistic injury update.

In Week 3, Goedert suffered a high ankle sprain and a small fracture in his tibia. This was a massive loss to the offense, as it was clear they had plans to feature the talented tight end. He saw 17 targets though the first two weeks, catching 12 for 131 yards and a touchdown.

Goedert told the media that he's "feeling good" after resuming practice. He appears to be upping his reps every single day, and he hopes that he will be able to return on Sunday Night Football this week.

Still, Goedert did say that he will not play at 75 percent. So, he and the training staff would both need to have full confidence that he is up to full speed. With Philadelphia having a bye next week, there certainly is an incentive to hold him out of one more game, getting two more weeks to ensure he's good to go. Still, he and everyone around the organization understands this is a must-win game.
