NFL rookie camps have already gotten underway, which means we're getting closer and closer to football season. It also means this is as good a time as any to take a look at how the defensive rookies will fit with their new teams and how they'll perform.

The top three favorites at the moment for Defensive Rookie of the Year according to FanDuel Sportsbook are Devin Bush (+850), Devin White (+850) and Nick Bosa (+850). All three are projected to have great first years on their new teams.

Devin White leads the pack here as he's the only rookie projected to eclipse 100 tackles as well as 8 TFLs for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The other Devin, Devin Bush, is projected to get 98 tackles, 7 TFLs and 2.0 sacks. Finally, Nick Bosa is projected for 8.0 sacks and 13 TFLs on the 49ers.

Those appear to be the top-three defensive rookies heading into the season followed by Nasir Adderley and DeAndre Baker in the secondary. Adderley is the only defensive back projected for more than one interception while Baker is projected for 12 pass defenses.

Elsewhere, Montez Sweat is projected to pick up 6.0 sacks for Washington and surprise draft pick, Clelin Ferrell, is projected for 6.0 sacks in Oakland. Despite being high draft picks, Josh Allen and Quinnen Williams are both expected to have modest seasons, with Allen projected at 33 tackles and 5.0 sacks and Williams at 45 tackles and 4.0 sacks.

It really does feel like Devin White, Devin Bush and Nick Bosa are in a league of their own based on these projections, but we'll have to see if that translates when they actually start playing games in September.
