DeMeco Ryans Interviews Intriguing Candidate for Texans' Offensive Coordinator

The Houston Texans ushered in a new era with the hiring of former San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans as the sixth full-time coach in franchise history. There's a lot of work to be done in Houston with the team coming off three straight seasons of at least 12 losses.
That said, the first task for Ryans is filling out the remainder of his coaching staff. On Wednesday evening, it was revealed that Ryans had an intriguing choice for his first interview.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Ryans conducted an interview with New England Patriots tight end coach Nick Caley. This interview is for the open offensive coordinator role on Ryans' staff.
Rapoport describes Caley as a "rising young coach." Caley has worked under Bill Belichick on New England's staff since the 2015 season. His contract just expired at the end of the season, however, and he's held offensive coordinator interviews with both the Patriots and New York Jets.
