It's going to take a while for Green Bay Packers fans to get used to seeing their favorite team play on Sundays without wide receiver Davante Adams. The Pro Bowler was recently traded to the Las Vegas Raiders in a blockbuster deal and took the time to post an emotional goodbye on his Instagram page.
Adams may not have mentioned anyone specific in his goodbye message, but he did express gratitude toward a ton of people. He thanked the Packers organization for taking a chance on him back in 2014 and made sure to shout out his teammates for constantly pushing him to be better.
The two-time All-Pro finished up his post by addressing Green Bay's fan base and their welcoming nature. Adams spoke on how the city of Green Bay will forever hold a special place in his heart, too.
"As I say farewell today, I can only hope that I've made all of you as proud of me as I am to have represented the city for the past eight years."- Davante Adams to fans via Instagram
It's safe to say Adams has had quite the impact on the Packers' offensive success over the years. The 29-year-old racked up an impressive 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns across the span of 116 games played with the franchise. He ended up hauling in 669 of his 1,012 targets and making five Pro Bowls.
Green Bay fans will have to admire Adams from afar as he looks to become the spark plug on a Las Vegas offense stuck in a crowded AFC West division. For now, the Packers have odds set at +1100 and the Raiders have odds set at +3800 to win Super Bowl 57, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
