Former star wide receiver Antonio Brown is almost finished with his eight-week suspension, and he has not gotten in any other trouble during it. This means he is eligible to return to NFL action in Week 9, making him an interesting, and valuable, mid-season addition to a team.

We have already heard of the top landing spots for Brown, including the Seahawks, but these are some dark horse candidates to sign the talented wide receiver.

1. Miami Dolphins

After a year of chaos and self-destruction, it's possible Brown would be interested in keeping things simple and returning home. Brown was born in Miami and played part of his high school career in the city. He also currently has a mansion there. As for the Dolphins, wouldn't it be nice to give Tua Tagovailoa a receiver like Brown, who would give him the best chance to succeed immediately?

2. Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are not typically one to sign big-name free agents, especially mid-season. However, this was a rumored landing spot in the summer. The only difference now is that the Packers look like true contenders, Devin Funchess opted out due to COVID, and Allen Lazard is hurt. A Davante Adams-Brown duo would be tough to stop.

3. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans fired head coach and general manager Bill O'Brien. He is the reason Deshaun Watson no longer has a dominant, go-to receiver. If the Texans make a move like this to get Brown, he would again fill that role and give Watson another weapon alongside good-but-not-elite receivers Will Fuller and Brandin Cooks.
