The Arizona Cardinals have arguably the biggest splash during the NFL free agency period, but it wasn't because of a free agent signing. Instead, they were able to trade for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who is among the best at his position in the league. Despite getting an absolute steal in this trade, the Cardinals' odds to win the NFC West are still insultingly low.

Even after signing Hopkins, the Cardinals rank dead-last in odds to win the NFC West, at +1000 on FanDuel Sportsbook. While they shouldn't be considered the favorite in such a tough division, those odds are insultingly low for a team on the rise.

Aside from adding Hopkins, the Cardinals were also able to sign a terrific run stopper in defensive tackle Jordan Phillips. This is a big acquisition, since the Cardinals will be tasked to stop the rushing attacks of the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. They had another strong under-the-radar acquisition, signing linebacker Devon Kennard, who is a huge upgrade and should make an impact on the defense immediately.

The Cardinals finished last season with a 5-10-1 record, but have gotten much better this offseason already, and their young players will have another year of experience under them.

Given the weapons on this offense, with Kyler Murray, Kenyan Drake, Hopkins, Larry Fitzgerald and Christian Kirk, the Cardinals should be viewed as one of the more dangerous teams in the league.

They are a team that could bring a new level of offensive creativity and are likely to give opposing defenses fits. For this reason, their odds to win the division are far too low.
